Kids of Gaza Orphanage Project

Care in Cairo 

In partnership with the World Care Foundation, Huddersfield Freedom for Palestine is working to establish an orphanage for vulnerable children who have been medically evacuated from Gaza. As more Palestinian families arrive in Cairo seeking urgent treatment and safety, many are left without stable housing, financial support, or access to ongoing care. Widowed mothers and orphaned children are among the most vulnerable, facing trauma, displacement, and an uncertain future.

This orphanage will be more than just a shelter; it will be a lifeline. A place where children can feel safe again after surviving war, displacement, and loss. A place where struggling Gazan families can find stability, compassion, and support during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

The Project Aims to Provide:

• 🏡 Safe and Stable Housing: A secure home for orphaned children and medically displaced families who have nowhere else to go.
•  🍽️ Nutrition: Balanced and nutritious meals for every child to promote healthy development.
• 🩺 Medical Recovery Support: Ongoing care and assistance for children recovering from injuries, illness, and trauma.
• 🎒Education and Pastoral Care: Helping children return to learning, structure, and normality after months of disruption and fear.
• 🫂 Emotional and Psychological Care: Supporting children and widows coping with grief, trauma, and displacement.
