Access to clean water is essential for life, yet families across Gaza are struggling to find enough safe water for drinking, cooking, washing and maintaining basic hygiene.
Damage to water infrastructure, shortages of fuel and electricity, displacement and severe restrictions on essential supplies have left many communities without reliable access to clean water. Families are often forced to travel long distances, wait for limited distributions or rely on unsafe water which is placing children, older people and vulnerable individuals at greater risk of dehydration and waterborne illness.
Our Response
Through our Water for Gaza project, we are working to provide families and communities with access to safe water where it is needed most.
Our work includes:
Distributing water to displaced families and vulnerable communities.
Supplying water for drinking, cooking and essential hygiene.
Constructing water wells in locations around Gaza to help communities access a more reliable local water supply.
Working with trusted teams on the ground to identify areas of greatest need and deliver support as safely and effectively as possible.
Emergency water distributions provide immediate relief, while the construction of water wells helps create a more sustainable source of water for communities facing ongoing shortages.
