We remember two remarkable sisters, Sha-ista Latif (46) and Shahida Aslam (49) — both diagnosed with the same devastating illness, Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The eldest sister was first diagnosed 28 years ago.
From living a normal life — like you and me — everything changed. MS slowly stole their independence, their strength, and their ability to live as they once did.
From walking with ease to struggling to walk in a straight line… then a wheelchair… then bed-bound.
From eating normally to being PEG-fed.
From speaking clearly to struggling with slurred speech.
From independence to complete dependence.
From strength to weakness, unable to fight off that final infection.
A mother has lost two of her three children.
A brother has lost all of his siblings.
A family broken and devastated by an illness that changed everything.
“Till we meet again.”
In their memory, and to honour every family impacted by MS, World Care Foundation will be taking part in a 100-mile cycle challenge on 14th September to raise funds for the MS Society.
