The last ten nights of Ramadan are not promised to anyone. Some people started Ramadan with us but didn’t reach these nights.
Some planned to. Some hoped to. But Allah chose differently.
Alhamdulillah that we are still here.
Still breathing.
Still able to make sujood.
Still able to ask for forgiveness.
These nights are precious. Within them is Laylatul Qadr, a night better than a thousand months. Once these nights pass, they will never return in our lifetime again.
Let’s just gently ask ourselves:
How can I make these nights count?
The Shades of Mercy campaign has been designed to help us intentionally maximise these sacred nights through three simple but spiritually powerful actions.
Every participant will receive a free course by Sheikh Omar Suleiman.
Allah has 99 beautiful names. Each one tells us something about who He is.
What if every night we learned just one name?
Not just memorise it, but think about it.
Ar-Rahman – The Entirely Merciful
Al-Ghafoor – The Constant Forgiver
Al-Lateef – The Subtle and Gentle
Learn a name each day, share it on social media or with someone privately. A simple message. A short reflection. You never know who might need that reminder.
The more we know Allah… the more natural it becomes to turn to Him.
Knowing your Creator transforms your relationship with Him.
It softens the heart.
It strengthens yaqeen.
It supercharges worship.
Share on social media so others can also benefit, tag us #wcfshadesofmercy
SubahAllan as you learn the blessed names , your heart will want more closeness to Allah, to his mercy.
There’s a hadith where the Prophet ﷺ mentions people who will be under Allah’s shade on the Day of Judgment — a day when there will be no other shade.
One of them is a person who gives charity so secretly that even their own hands don’t know.
On these nights, donate quietly. Use anonymous on your link.
Help someone. Support a cause. Even if it’s small.
And don’t tell anyone.
Then just whisper:
“Ya Allah, I’m doing this only for You. Please shade me on the Day when I’ll need it most.”
There’s something powerful about deeds that only Allah knows about.
A gift of £150 will be given towards an international charity trip in the event a volunteer raises £2000 as part of the 2nd action point.
Our beloved Prophet ﷺ was sent as a mercy to mankind.
His mission was not only to worship but to guide others to goodness.
As we truly love him, we follow him. We follow his footsteps..
Invite others to do good.
Encourage them to give.
Share your link for your chosen cause and raise funds for those in need, widows, orphans, the oppressed, the forgotten.
Perhaps through your reminder, someone gives.
And because of that donation, someone eats.
And because of that meal, a du’a is made for you in the depths of the night.
Imagine arriving on the Day of Judgment and seeing mountains of reward you do not recognise — only to be told:
“This is because you invited someone to do good.”

May Allah allow us to witness Laylatul Qadr.
May He accept our efforts.
May He shade us under His Throne.
May He write us among those freed from the Fire.
Ameen.
