After 13 years of conflict, 700 children in Homs, Syria need your help to return to school in safety and dignity.
In the Jober neighbourhood of Homs, Tuyur Aljana Secondary School stands as a symbol of resilience. Once filled with the voices of eager students, war has left its classrooms damaged, windows broken, and desks destroyed. Today, 700 children aged 11–17 are waiting for the chance to learn again.
The city of Homs bore the brunt of Syria’s devastating conflict. For over 13 years, families fled their homes as neighbourhoods turned to rubble. Schools — the very heart of any community — were abandoned, damaged, and forgotten.
But hope never dies.
As families cautiously return to rebuild their lives, they find their children’s futures hanging in the balance. Tuyur Aljana School in the Jober area represents more than education — it represents dignity, normalcy, and the promise that tomorrow can be better than yesterday.
700 young hearts are counting on us:
Students aged 11–17 who have already lost too much of their childhood
Children whose education was interrupted by conflict
Young people ready to rebuild their community through learning
The next generation of Syria’s future leaders, doctors, teachers, and changemakers
This isn’t just about fixing a building — it’s about rebuilding dreams.
