Restore Anas Bin Malik Masjid in Syria

Be the Reason the Adhan Is Heard Again

For over 13 years, the stones of Anas Bin Malik Masjid in Homs have stood in silence.

No Adhan echoing through its damaged walls.
No children learning Qur’an within its sanctuary.
No community gathering for Jumu‘ah prayers.

Only rubble.
Only memories.
Only loss.

Years of conflict left many neighbourhoods in Homs without safe places of worship. In the Khaledyah area of the city, Anas Bin Malik Masjid was severely damaged, leaving it unable to serve the families who once relied on it as a place of prayer, learning, and unity.

As residents slowly return to their homes, the absence of a functioning masjid has been deeply felt. What was once the spiritual heart of the community has remained closed — a reminder of all that was lost.

But today, hope returns to Homs.

This appeal is about more than repairing a building.
It is about restoring dignity, reviving faith, and helping a community reclaim a sense of normal life after years of hardship.

By restoring this masjid, we help reopen a sacred space where worship, learning, and unity can once again take root.

Why This Masjid Matters

This masjid will serve 300 individuals regularly and benefit over 2,000 people indirectly.

For the people of Homs, a masjid is not only a place of prayer.
It is a place of:

  • Daily worship and remembrance

  • Religious learning for children and youth

  • Community connection and mutual support

  • Spiritual strength during times of hardship

When this masjid fell into disrepair, a vital part of community life was lost.
Restoring Anas Bin Malik Masjid means restoring a space where faith, learning, and unity can once again flourish.

What Your Support Will Restore

With your support, Anas Bin Malik Masjid in Homs will be fully rehabilitated so it can safely serve worshippers once again.

The restoration work will include:

  • Repairing and strengthening damaged structural areas
  • Restoring the minaret, mihrab, and minbar
  • Rehabilitating ablution and toilet facilities
  • Repairing and upgrading electrical systems
  • Painting and refurbishing the prayer hall
  • Installing doors, window grilles, and a sound system
  • Furnishing the masjid so it is ready for daily and Friday prayers

Every aspect of this work is focused on creating a safe, dignified, and welcoming place of worship.

The Impact of Your Donation

Once restored, the masjid will serve hundreds of worshippers and support thousands of people living in the surrounding area of Homs.

  • Daily prayers and Jumu‘ah will resume
  • A central place of worship will be reopened for returning families
  • The masjid will once again serve as a hub for faith, learning, and community life

By supporting this project, you are helping rebuild the spiritual heart of a neighbourhood that is rebuilding its future.

A Lasting Act of Charity

Contributing to the restoration of a masjid is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah — a charity whose benefit continues.

Every prayer offered, every verse recited, and every moment of worship that takes place within these walls becomes part of that reward.

Give with the intention that the reward continues beyond this life.

You may give with a sincere intention for yourself or on behalf of someone dear to you.
