Years of conflict have left many women in Syria facing poverty, loss, and limited opportunities. Many are widows, single mothers, or women supporting families alone, with few ways to earn a stable income.
Through the success of our Threads of Care Women’s Empowerment Centre in Lebanon, we have seen how skills training and dignified employment can transform lives and create sustainable livelihoods.
Building on this proven, self-sustaining model, we are now expanding Threads of Care to Syria, establishing a Women’s Empowerment Centre that will provide women with skills, employment, and a pathway to long-term independence.
Without access to such opportunities, survival remains a daily struggle for countless women. This project aims to change that.
Threads of Care – Syria will establish a Women’s Empowerment Centre where women can learn practical, income-generating skills and earn a dignified living.
The centre will provide:
Sewing and tailoring skills training
Fair and ethical employment opportunities
Support towards financial independence
A safe and supportive community environment
This approach moves beyond short-term aid, offering women the tools they need to support their families sustainably.
