To Yemen With Love

World Care Foundation is delighted to sponsor and support an event that celebrates Yemen’s culture and traditions.

Moved by the current humanitarian crisis in Yemen, a group of young professionals based in Scotland have created To Yemen with Love (TYWL), an initiative to raise awareness about the Yemeni plight to a wider audience, and to highlight Yemeni culture and traditions.

According to the United Nations (2019), more than 80% of Yemen’s population is in dire need of humanitarian assistance. After five years of on-going conflict, Yemenis are suffering consequences of political disputes and conflicts, causing more than two million of the population to be internally displaced.

TYWL has organised a fundraising event which will take place on Saturday 15th June at the Art School in Glasgow 1pm – 6pm. It will be a day filled with music, food and Yemeni culture to raise awareness of the world’s worst man-made humanitarian crisis. This event is in collaboration with World Care Foundation, our main sponsors, and all the proceeds will go to Yemen Aid to help them respond to people’s immediate needs. The event will be hosted by Amal Azzudin (Glasgow Girls) and will feature renowned speakers, poets and artists. In addition, a global #ToYemenwithLove campaign will be officially launched on the day. Make sure you don’t miss out – a great opportunity to learn, celebrate and
have fun for a very important cause. This is a family-friendly event and tickets can be purchased here
