With thousands injured, the death toll is expected to increase as rescue workers search the rubble. Multiple buildings have tumbled down in Syria and, in Turkey, a “level 4 alarm” calling for international assistance has been declared.
Thousands are trapped and homeless which means they require urgent support immediately even for basic items such as food, clothing, medical needs etc.
For this reason, we have launched an urgent tent appeal to house those that have been made homeless and displaced. In the current cold temperatures, these desperate families are having to sleep in cars and makeshift shelters.
One tent costs £250 and would be able to provide a roof over the head of one family.
