NC500 CYCLE CHALLENGE

In Aid of Orphanage & Educational Projects

We will be taking on a massive challenge to cycle over 500 miles in 5 days climbing approximately 10,000m over the entire North Coast…. for children in need.

Millions of children in need including orphans don’t have a safe place to call home or a place to study.

Please support us in this challenge to raise money so that children can be provided a home and an opportunity to gain education for a better future.

THE CHALLENGE:

Day 1: Inverness to Gairloch – 144 miles (23rd July)

Day 2: Gairloch to Ullapool – 58 miles (24th July)

Day 3: Ullapool to Tongue – 118 miles (25th July)

Day 4: Tongue to Helmsdale – 115 miles (26th July)

Day 5: Helmsdale to Inverness – 71 miles (27th July)

Ion8 will be sponsoring the challenge therefore covering all expenses so that 100% of your donations will be allocated to the sole purpose of supporting the children in need.

World Care Foundation

We have 9 Orphanages housing hundreds of Orphans. Our Orphanages are based in Lebanon, Turkey and Pakistan. These Orphanages are set up by volunteers/donors who regularly visit these orphanages.

Our Educational Projects are set up in rural areas in Lebanon, Malawi and Pakistan to help educate those who do not have access to local educational facilities giving them a chance to become educated and provide for their families in the future.

A volunteer who visited the Orphanage said, “The best part was seeing the children immediately wear the clothes and shoes that was distributed. The smiles came back. Just like any child, they wanted to try on their new clothes.”

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When World Care Foundation receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
