The Al-Noor Annual Boat Race is a hugely popular family event held in Redbridge, London. The event consists of a funfair, aqua park, stalls, boat village, picnic areas, paddling boat for hire and of course, the boat race itself.
The event is open to all schools, faith groups, charities and corporate organisations.
The event aims to unite the community whereby individuals, families and organisations have the opportunity to raise money for charitable causes which are close to their hearts,.
Each team requires 20 people (17 riders & 3 subs) to participate and row to compete against 3 other boats.
The boat race consists of qualifying rounds, and each charity will participate in a minimum of 2 rounds. The fastest teams in each round are then shortlisted to participate against the top teams in the semi-final and final.
