£8,016 of £7,000 raised

A-team set to take on the tough, National Three Peaks Challenge!

In support of orphans and widows, Ustadh Muhammad Ali, his brothers, Raf and Sohail Ali, alongside close friend, Ashraf Haque will be taking on the national three peaks challenge.

They will be accompanied by their support team, Kash Ahmed and Mohammed Sohail, whose task it will be to drive for 10 hours, covering 462 miles.

The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“One who strives to help the widows and the poor is like the one who fights in the way of Allah.”

The narrator said; I think he (peace and blessings be upon him) also said:

“I shall regard him as the one who stands up (for prayer) without rest and as the one who observes fasts continuously.”

[Sahih Muslim – 2982]

The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.  Walkers climb each peak in turn, and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next.

 The three peaks are:

·       Ben Nevis, Scotland – 4,413 ft

·       Scafell Pike, England – 3,209 ft

·       Snowdon, Wales – 3,560 ft

The total distance walked is 26 miles with a total ascent of 9,800 ft!

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“He who takes care of an orphan, whether he is his relative or a stranger, will be in Jannah with me like these two.”

The narrator, Malik bin Anas raised his forefinger and middle finger for illustration.

[Sahih Muslim – 2983]

The funds raised will be used to cover the living expenses of orphans and widows living at the Ihya Centre Orphanage and neighbouring Blackhall Orphanage, Lebanon.

These expenses include: Food, clothing, medical care and schooling fees and transport.
