Yusuf’s New Prosthetic

This is Yusuf Abdullah from Aleppo, Syria. He used to collect metal and plastic items to sell in order to make money to pay their rent. In 2015, he had no choice but to set off on the long and dangerous journey to Turkey illegally with his wife, mother and stepmother. During this journey, Yusuf stepped on a mine and lost his leg. He was sent back to Syria by the army. Yusuf received treatment and a prosthetic leg in a Syrian hospital but couldn’t afford to pay for maintenance and it broke. Three years later, he set off on the journey again with his family and is now in Lebanon.

Thanks to donors and World Care Foundation he has now been given a prosthetic leg and rehabilitation support. He can now look for a job and earn an income to support his family In shaa Allah.
