Free food on Mondays
Did you know 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK? In fact, according to the Trussell Trust, nearly 118,000 people (over 36,000 of them children) relied on food donations in Scotland in 2014-2015.
To help our city’s hungry, we’ll be giving away free food every Monday from a food table located on the corner of North Bridge and the Royal Mile. The free food table will start in mid-January, with a view to expanding to other days of the week and other parts of the city.
There are men, women and children in Edinburgh who are hungry and in desperate need of food. We’re taking a stand and working for the betterment of our city, helping local people in crisis.
Your donations will allow us to provide much-needed food for the hungry. We operate a 100 percent donation policy so all your donations will go directly to feeding the hungry.
